UPNVJ Celebrates 48 Years of Service: Continuing to Transform and Make an Impact

UPNVJ Public Relations – Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) will celebrate its 48th anniversary on November 30, 2025, with the theme "UPNVJ Continues to Transform and Make an Impact." This celebration highlights UPNVJ's commitment to driving positive change through educational innovation and tangible contributions to society and the nation. A series of activities throughout November will involve lecturers, students, and educational staff, as well as external partners, to strengthen solidarity and the spirit of national defense.

This theme was chosen in line with the demands of the digital era, in which UPNVJ is transforming into a globally competitive university. This transformation encompasses not only academic aspects and governance, but also how UPNVJ innovates in learning, research, and community service. Through digitalization, international collaboration, and improving the quality of human resources, UPNVJ strives to have a tangible impact on national development and contribute to the advancement of science globally.

The series of activities leading up to the peak of UPNVJ's 48th Anniversary began with a Fun Walk on November 14, 2025 at Ragunan Zoo, which became an event for togetherness and promotion of a healthy lifestyle for the entire UPNVJ family.

The lively atmosphere continues with Belfest (Bela Negara Festival) 2025 on November 16th, which will be held at Kukusan Football Field, Depok. This festival is a celebration of arts and culture that showcases the creativity and nationalistic spirit of Bela Negara campus students. This year, Belfest is even more lively with the presence of a number of famous guest stars, including TULUS, The Adams, For Revenge, HIVI!, Lomba Ajaib, and Tenxi, as well as many other performers. The presence of these musicians is expected to increase enthusiasm and strengthen the togetherness of the entire academic community in celebrating the special moment of UPNVJ's 48th Anniversary.

Entering mid-November, various sporting competitions will also enliven the celebrations. The badminton competition on November 17–18 at the SSG Badminton Hall in Cilobak, and the futsal competition on November 24–26 at the UPNVJ Futsal Field on the Pondok Labu Campus will serve as a forum to strengthen solidarity and sportsmanship among the UPNVJ academic community.

In the midst of the series, Stadium Generale on November 19th featured the Head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), Commissioner General of Police Dr. Inspector General of Police Suyudi Ario Seto, SH, M.Sc., who gave an inspiring presentation on preventing drug abuse among youth. This activity is planned to take place at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium, 4th Floor, Rectorate Building.

Next, the Tabola Bale Gymnastics Competition on November 21 will showcase UPNVJ's unique creativity and sporting spirit. The competition will be held at the UPNVJ Pondok Labu Campus Ceremony Field.

As part of the culmination of the celebration, UPNVJ will hold an Open University Session on November 28, 2025, at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium, 4th Floor, Rectorate Building. This activity will be attended by the entire academic community and external invited guests to listen to a scientific oration that will be delivered by Prof. Stella Christie, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology. Through this academic moment, UPNVJ reflects on its 48-year journey of transformation and contribution. The scientific oration is expected to be a source of inspiration that strengthens UPNVJ's determination to provide a real impact on the development of higher education, research, and community service.

The entire agenda of the 48th Anniversary celebrations reflects the values of National Defense, which have consistently been UPNVJ's identity since its founding as a state higher education institution in 1977. Through this commemoration, UPNVJ is expected to continue strengthening its role as a superior, adaptive, and globally competitive university, while remaining grounded in the spirit of nationalism and community service. Moving forward, UPNVJ is committed to continuing its transformation into an innovative, inclusive campus that has a real impact on the nation's progress.
