They are selected individuals with high intellectual capacity and are trusted as academic leaders and guardians of the nation's scientific progress. The President invited university leaders to reflect on their contributions to society, the nation, and the state.
Furthermore, the President hopes that universities and professors can play an increasingly important role in Indonesia's development. Amidst evolving global challenges, universities are expected to be the driving force behind innovation and science-based solutions.
The President also highlighted significant global geopolitical shifts, which require every nation to be self-sufficient and resilient. In this context, universities and professors are expected to be the driving force behind Indonesia's progress amidst global dynamics and abundant natural resources. Universities are encouraged to produce superior human resources who are not only strong in capacity and capability, but also possess high integrity, a strong sense of nationalism, and are committed to the interests of the Indonesian people and nation.
Responding to the directive, Prof. Venus stated that the Presidential Briefing served as a reminder and reinforcement of the strategic role of universities in responding to the nation's challenges.
