UPNVJ Public Relations – The first day of the 2026 Computer-Based Written Examination for the National Selection Based on Test (UTBK SNBT) at the UPN “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) UTBK Center proceeded smoothly and orderly on April 21, 2026. Behind this smooth process, the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) team played a crucial role in ensuring the readiness of the exam equipment, network, and system to ensure the entire process ran smoothly.
The Central ICT Coordinator for the UPNVJ UTBK-SNBT, Asep Saeful Ridwan, stated that the first day of the exam was generally safe and under control. He emphasized that all technical preparations made well in advance were sufficient to support the exam's operational needs.
"Alhamdulillah, the first day of the UTBK-SNBT implementation at the UPN Veteran Jakarta UTBK Center, especially in terms of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure, went very smoothly and safely," he said.
To support the exam, UPNVJ has prepared 1,020 computers for use in each session. According to Asep, the team initially anticipated the need for additional equipment. However, through careful planning, all currently available equipment was deemed capable of optimally accommodating exam requirements.
In addition to equipment readiness, human resource support is also crucial to ensuring the smooth implementation of the UTBK-SNBT. To that end, the UPNVJ ICT team deployed 51 IT officers and four server administrators on full standby at each exam location. The presence of these technical personnel ensures that all operational processes can be monitored and handled quickly when needed.
Asep explained that no significant technical issues had been encountered until the afternoon session on the first day. Both hardware, network, and server systems were functioning according to the prepared scenario.
"The preparations we've made well in advance have yielded positive results. As of this afternoon, there have been no significant technical issues with the hardware, network, or server systems. All processes are proceeding according to plan," he explained.
He further stated that the ICT team will continue to regularly monitor system stability throughout the UTBK-SNBT series. This is to ensure a conducive environment is maintained until all exam days are completed.
"We hope this conducive environment will be maintained throughout the entire exam series, allowing participants to focus on the exam questions without worrying about technical issues," he added.
The smooth implementation of the ICT side on the first day is one indicator of UPNVJ's readiness as the 2026 UTBK-SNBT Center in providing safe, orderly, and comfortable examination services for all participants.
