UPNVJ Public Relations — The 2026 Computer-Based Written Examination for the National Selection Based on Test (UTBK SNBT) at the Veteran National Development University (UPNVJ) Jakarta (UPNVJ) proceeded smoothly and under control until the final day. A total of 22,426 participants took the exam, which was held over 11 days, from April 21–30 and May 2, 2026, at two campus locations: Pondok Labu, South Jakarta, and Limo, Depok. This success confirms the implementation of the zero accident principle through technical readiness, risk management, and compliance with national standards for UTBK implementation.
The Coordinator of the UTBK SNBT UPNVJ Implementation, Fajar Nugroho, S.Kom., MP, stated that the entire series of exams had been comprehensively prepared from the start, so that various potential disruptions could be anticipated.
"Because preparations were thorough, all issues were anticipated. There were no obstacles on either the first or the last day," he said.
He explained that this year, UPNVJ was able to adapt to several new developments, including the use of the UTBK OS system, and strictly followed all instructions from the central committee. One of these was the requirement to submit photo documentation of participants at each exam session as part of strengthening the monitoring system.
In terms of capacity, UPNVJ provides a total of 1,020 seats per session across 29 examination rooms, supported by 1,020 active computers and 105 backup computers. Each examination room is equipped with an average of four backup computers to anticipate technical disruptions, ensuring the smooth running of the exam.
The exam is divided into two sessions each day: a morning session from 6:45–10:30 WIB and an afternoon session from 12:30–4:15 WIB. At the Pondok Labu Campus, the exam is administered in 23 exam rooms with a capacity of 815 participants per session and 815 computers. At the Limo Campus, the exam is administered in six rooms with a capacity of 205 participants per session and 205 computers.
In support of the zero-accident principle, UPNVJ also ensures the readiness of health services at every location. At the Pondok Labu Campus, a health post is located in the ULT room, staffed by three health workers, one doctor, and one ambulance. At the Limo Campus, health services are provided in front of the Faculty of Engineering Building, staffed by two health workers and one doctor.
Oversight is also strengthened through a multi-layered inspection mechanism. Not only are blank papers inspected, but also participant ID cards and certificates of completion after the exam is completed. This measure is taken to ensure that no exam materials are taken out by participants and to maintain the integrity of the national selection process.
Furthermore, a sterile zone is strictly enforced in the exam area. Access to the exam room is restricted to outside parties, including the media, to maintain participant concentration and document security. Meanwhile, coverage is permitted only in the transit zone or outside the building, with assistance from the UPNVJ Public Relations team.
UPNVJ Rector, Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm., emphasized that the successful implementation of the 2026 UTBK SNBT, with its zero-accident principle, reflects the institution's capacity to manage national-scale activities professionally and to high standards. According to him, this success is measured not only by technical smoothness but also by the ability to maintain public trust in an objective, transparent, and integrity-based selection system.
He added that UPNVJ will continue to strengthen risk-based governance and improve service quality as part of the institution's commitment to supporting a superior higher education system with a national defense character.
