UPNVJ's 2026 PKMM Equips Students with Accountable Organizational Financial Management

UPNVJ Public Relations – The “Veteran” National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) provides students with the ability to manage organizational finances in a transparent, orderly, and accountable manner through the 2026 Student Management Skills Training (PKMM). The training, entitled “Financial Administration Management,” took place at the Merce Building, UPNVJ Limo Campus, Depok, Wednesday (10/6/2026), as part of strengthening student organization governance.

The material was delivered by the Head of the UPNVJ Financial Working Team, Endang Mariyani, accompanied by Finance Staff, Faisal. In the session, participants gained an understanding of the stages of organizational financial administration, from budget preparation, funding submission and use, transaction recording, document completion, and accountability report preparation.

This training is necessary because financial management is a crucial element in the success of student organization programs. All budget expenditures must be planned based on activity needs, implemented according to regulations, and accounted for to the organization's members and the university.

Endang explained that financial administration isn't just about recording income and expenses. Financial management is also part of building a professional, integrity-driven, and trustworthy organizational culture.

Therefore, student organization administrators need to understand the entire financial administration process before implementing work programs. Good planning can help organizations prioritize activities, estimate budget requirements, and utilize resources effectively and efficiently.

Participants also received an explanation of the financial administration procedures applicable within UPNVJ. These procedures cover budget submission procedures, preparation of supporting documents, use of funds according to their intended use, and submission of reports upon completion of activities.

Document completeness is crucial because every transaction must be supported by valid and relevant evidence. Accurate record-keeping facilitates audits, evaluations, and the preparation of organizational accountability reports.

In addition to administrative order, transparency is necessary to ensure all organizational members understand the purpose and use of the budget. Open financial information can reduce the risk of misunderstandings, prevent inappropriate use of funds, and strengthen trust in the organization's management.

The principle of accountability also requires that every activity manager be able to clearly explain decisions and budget allocations. Accountability is not limited to program completion, but must be implemented from the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages of the activity.

Through this understanding, students are expected to not only be able to organize activities, but also ensure that each program has a realistic budget plan, appropriate procedures for using funds, and complete and accountable reports.

Financial management skills also have long-term benefits for students. Experience in budgeting, managing documents, and accounting for the use of funds can be valuable when they enter the workforce or become involved in managing organizations within the community.

The inclusion of Financial Administration Management material in the 2026 PKMM demonstrates that student leadership development must be accompanied by strengthening technical skills. An organizational leader is required not only to possess ideas and communication skills but also to manage organizational resources responsibly.

This training also serves as UPNVJ's effort to prevent administrative errors and inappropriate budget use. By understanding procedures from the outset, student organizations are expected to implement programs in a more focused, targeted, and measurable manner.

UPNVJ encourages participants to apply the knowledge they gain to the management of their respective organizations. This can begin with developing a detailed budget plan, appointing a financial manager, maintaining regular records, and evaluating fund usage after the activity is complete.

Through PKMM 2026, UPNVJ affirms its commitment to developing students who not only possess leadership skills but also uphold transparency, integrity, and responsibility. This strengthening is expected to produce professional student organizations with orderly administration and capable of making tangible contributions to campus and community development.
