Public Relations of UPNVJ – Activist and social activist Inayah Wulandari Wahid was present to greet new students of the National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) in the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) UPNVJ 2026 at the Tennis Indoor Stadium Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, August 10, 2026. On that occasion, Inayah presented material entitled “Speaking Through Work: Expression, Values, and Hopes” which positions work as a space for the younger generation to convey ideas, values, and hopes to society.
Inayah's presence added a unique touch to the first day of the UPNVJ 2026 PKKMB. Through the theme, new students were encouraged to see that campus life is not only a space for gaining academic knowledge, but also an opportunity to find ways to express themselves, develop ideas, and produce valuable work.
This material is relevant for new students entering a new phase of their educational journey. The college years offer ample opportunities for students to discover their potential, interact with diverse thought groups, and develop creativity through both academic and non-academic activities.
Work in this context isn't limited to artistic products or creative content. Ideas, writing, research, innovation, social activities, and various forms of student contributions can serve as a means of conveying values while simultaneously benefiting the surrounding environment.
Inayah's session also reinforced the diverse perspectives UPNVJ offers to new students during the PKKMB. UPNVJ presents speakers from various backgrounds in government, education, science, employment, social issues, and creativity, providing students with a broader understanding of university life.
The 2026 UPNVJ PKKMB took place on August 10–11, 2026, with the theme "Young People with National Defense Character, Making a Real Impact on the Nation." This activity was designed not only as an introduction to the university environment, but also as initial preparation so that students are able to adapt, understand national values, and develop character and competencies to face the changing times.
UPNVJ Rector Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm., previously emphasized that PKKMB serves as an initial opportunity for new students to become familiar with the academic environment, UPNVJ's values, and the various opportunities they can exploit during their education. He believes that the values of national defense need to be realized contextually through integrity, discipline, responsibility, caring, a passion for learning, and the use of knowledge for the benefit of society.
Inayah Wulandari Wahid's presence in the "Speaking Through Work" session reinforced this message. For UPNVJ, a space for expression and creativity is crucial in developing students who not only excel academically but also have the courage to express their ideas, possess social sensitivity, and are able to translate the values of national defense into tangible contributions to the nation.
