Welcoming 4,612 New Students, UPNVJ Adds Parking Space with a Capacity of 1,550 Vehicles

UPNVJ Public Relations – Jakarta. Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) has prepared the Orchid Parking Area to support the mobility of its academic community, especially the 4,612 new students of the 2026/2027 Academic Year who are beginning their studies on campus. The approximately 3,000-square-meter area can accommodate up to 1,500 two-wheeled vehicles and 50 four-wheeled vehicles. The presence of this facility is part of the university's efforts to reduce vehicle congestion while improving order, security, and comfort on campus.

The addition of parking areas has become relevant as academic and student activities have increased following the series of Campus Life Introduction for New Students (PKKMB) UPNVJ 2026. A total of 4,612 new students have completed the university-level PKKMB on August 10–11, 2026 before continuing with introduction and coaching activities in their respective faculties.

The Anggrek Parking Area operates a regulated parking system. The applicable fees are Rp 4,000 for two-wheeled vehicles and Rp 15,000 for four-wheeled vehicles. This regulation also supports the management of parking facilities and services for users.

In terms of facilities, the parking area is designed with safety, accessibility, and smooth vehicle circulation in mind. Vehicle entry and exit routes are arranged for a more orderly layout and are supported by parking attendants, signs and markings, lighting, and a surveillance system.

The Head of General Affairs at UPNVJ said that the provision of the Orchid Parking Area is part of improving the quality of university facilities and infrastructure services.

"We are committed to providing the best service to the entire academic community. The Anggrek Parking Area is expected to provide comfort for the new students of the Class of 2026 in carrying out their lectures and creating a more orderly and safe campus environment," he said.

The provision of these facilities complements UPNVJ's efforts to develop facilities to support student mobility. In August 2026, the university also opened UPNVJ Parking Area 2 on Jalan Rangu, Pangkalan Jati, Cinere, Depok, to help meet student parking needs around the Pondok Labu Campus.

By enhancing parking facilities, UPNVJ is promoting a more organized campus environment, allowing students to comfortably engage in academic and student activities. These facility improvements are also part of the university's efforts to ensure that student growth and activity are accompanied by improvements in the quality of campus services.

UPNVJ urges all users of the Anggrek Parking Area to utilize the facilities in an orderly manner and to work together to maintain cleanliness, security, and order in the environment as part of implementing the values of responsibility and the spirit of National Defense.
