Public Relations of UPNVJ – The National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) is finalizing preparations for the 77th Graduation Ceremony for Diploma, Bachelor’s, Professional, and Master’s Programs by gradually collecting the gowns of prospective graduates on September 7–10, 2026. The Head of Academic Affairs of UPNVJ, Oki Putra Budiarahman, SH, directly monitored the gown collection service at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium, 4th Floor, General Sudirman Building, UPNVJ Pondok Labu Campus, Tuesday (8/9/2026). Monitoring was carried out to ensure that all stages run orderly ahead of graduation on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC), Senayan, Jakarta.
On the second day, graduation gowns were collected for prospective graduates of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP). Based on the latest participant allocation from the UPNVJ Academic Division, FISIP will include 492 graduates in the 77th Graduation Ceremony.
This number consists of 190 graduates of Bachelor of Communication Science, 156 Bachelor of International Relations, 100 Bachelor of Political Science, 18 Bachelor of Information Science, 25 Master of Communication Science, two Master of International Relations, and one Master of Political Science.
Oki said the schedule was divided based on faculty and study program to ensure effective service to prospective graduates and prevent overcrowding during the equipment collection process.
"We organize the graduation gown collection by faculty and study program to ensure a more orderly process and prevent backlogs. We also conduct direct monitoring to ensure the administrative process, from graduation equipment distribution to graduation, runs smoothly," said Oki.
According to Oki, collecting the toga is a crucial step in ensuring the prospective graduates' readiness for the graduation ceremony. In addition to receiving graduation supplies, each prospective graduate must ensure all administrative obligations have been completed.
"We hope all prospective graduates will follow the established schedule and heed all regulations issued by the university. With thorough preparation, starting with the graduation ceremony, we hope the graduation ceremony at JICC will run smoothly, orderly, and comfortably for both graduates and their families," he said.
Graduation ceremonies began on Monday (September 7) for the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) and the Faculty of Medicine (FK), followed by the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) on Tuesday (September 8). The Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) and the Faculty of Law (FH) are scheduled for Wednesday (September 9), while the Faculty of Computer Science (FIK) and the Faculty of Engineering (FT) are scheduled for Thursday (September 10).
Prospective graduates are required to show proof of full financial obligations, proof of library clearance, and proof of uploading work to the repository before collecting graduation supplies. This arrangement is part of UPNVJ's efforts to ensure that all academic and administrative requirements are met before graduation.
UPNVJ's 77th Graduation Ceremony will be attended by 1,943 graduates from seven faculties and will take place in two sessions. A total of 1,027 graduates are scheduled to attend the morning session, consisting of 400 graduates from the Faculty of Economics and Business, 135 graduates from the Faculty of Medicine, and 492 graduates from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. The afternoon session will be attended by 916 graduates, consisting of 177 graduates from the Faculty of Engineering, 259 from the Faculty of Computer Science, 169 from the Faculty of Law, and 311 from the Faculty of Health Sciences. The first session will take place from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. WIB, while the second session is scheduled from 12:30 p.m. to 5:20 p.m. WIB.
UPNVJ upheld the spirit of "Becoming Competent Graduates, with National Defense Character, and Impactful to the Nation" in this year's graduation ceremony. Preparations for the 77th Graduation Ceremony also affirmed UPNVJ's focus on producing graduates who possess not only academic competence but also National Defense character and the ability to impact society and the nation.
