HumasUPNVJ - DKI Jakarta Indonesian Student Regiment Alumni Association (IARMI) Provincial Leadership Council Executive Arifin Laisa said one form of defending the country during the Covid-19 pandemic was participating in the vaccination program to build community resilience.
"As Menwa, we do partner with various parties, such as the TNI/Polri, universities and other parties to help the community," said Arifin during the Covid-19 vaccination activity held at the Jakarta Veterans National Development University (UPNVJ) Pondok Labu Campus, Saturday ( 28/8/2021).
Arifin said Menwa has the motto "Widya Castrena Dharma Siddha" which means "Complete Service with Knowledge and Soldier Science". The motto becomes Menwa's guideline in defending the country.
According to Arifin, this motto also feels very fitting for working with UPNVJ, including in supporting the government's Covid-19 vaccination program.
"We always encourage universities in Indonesia, such as UPNVJ, because universities are our strength to work together in this vaccination program," he said.
Arifin said UPNVJ had successfully held several vaccination activities, judging by the way the team communicated and managed with all the parties involved.
"This success is also beyond our expectations. Hopefully in the future we can form a herd community so that our Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia can return to health," he said.
The vaccination activity which was held last Saturday (28/8/2021) at the Pondok Labu Campus was a collaboration between UPNVJ and Polda Metro Jaya, Indonesian Student Regiment Alumni Association (IARMI) DKI Jakarta, Jayakarta Student Regiment (Menwa) and the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) .
This activity was the third time the vaccination activity was held at the UPNVJ Pondok Labu Campus. In addition, UPNVJ has also held vaccination activities in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. (*)
