HumasUPNVJ - Chancellor of the Jakarta Veterans National Development University (UPNVJ) Dr. Erna Hernawati, Ak, CPMA, CA, CGOP inaugurated 208 Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) witnessed by all UPNVJ leadership, while still implementing strict health protocols.
"This inauguration is something we have been waiting for since 2014. However, it seems that this year there will be many blessings for us because the asset problem has been resolved so that we are more flexible to make improvements," Erna said in her remarks while inaugurating 208 PPPK at the UPNVJ Pondok Labu Campus Ceremony Field, Wednesday ( 01/09/21).
Erna said the inauguration of PPPK at UPNVJ was a long and not easy process because there were several obstacles after the change in status of UPNVJ from a private university to a state university, then to a state university with public service bodies (PTN-BLU).
"Regarding assets, this is a major program that has been completed and today was followed by the inauguration of PPPK. This is the result of our collective struggle," he said.
For the PPPK appointed, Erna hoped that the oath that was said would be understood with all her heart as an oath addressed to the Creator, not only to the leadership.
"I hope this morning will be a turning point for us all. UPNVJ will get a new pattern of work, a new spirit and new responsibilities," he hoped.
Erna also reminded the challenges that must be faced along with the inauguration of employees as PPPK. According to him, it is important for employees to prepare themselves and form an initial strategy to achieve common targets.
"The challenge is quite big is to make changes, especially related to performance targets that are supervised and monitored and there are consequences if targets are not met," he explained.
The implementation of a work from home system during the Covid-19 pandemic also requires employees to do technology-based work. Because of that, Erna reminded employees to equip themselves with more knowledge related to the use of technology so they can survive in the new adaptation.
The change in UPNVJ's status as PTN-BLU does provide flexibility in operations, but it is followed by a different target.
"I hope that with this change we can be more responsible and do it together," he concluded.

Meanwhile, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Faculty of Health, Taufik Maryusman, S.Gz, MPd, M.Gizi, as one of the employees who was appointed as PPPK, hopes that he and other employees can implement the new assignments given and be responsible for the oaths given.
"Hopefully we can jointly assume new responsibilities and carry out our duties as well as possible for change and progress of UPNVJ," he hoped.
