HumasUPNVJ - Referring to PERMENPAN RB, Number 17 of 2013, and PERMENDIKBUD Number 92 of 2014, an increase in the academic position of lecturers requires publication in accredited national scientific journals and reputable international journals in their fields. This policy provides a direction so that scientific publications for functional Lecturer positions in Indonesia continue to be improved. Quality and indexed publications affect the reputation and visibility of the college where the lecturer is located. Therefore it is very important to have an activity related to the management of journals in tertiary institutions and preparation for becoming an accredited journal, therefore, the Institute for Research and Community Service at the Jakarta Veterans National Development University (LPPM UPNVJ) held a Webinar: Prospects for the Development of the Abdimas Journal which are incorporated in a series of activities at the 2021 UPNVJ Research and Community Service Week. In this activity, Dr. Herdis Herdiansyah as Chair of the Community Service Journal Association.

Herdis explained many things, one of which was regarding Key Elements in Scientific Work Publication, "It should be noted, Key Elements in Scientific Work Publication include ethical issues, writing formats, article elements/components, how to submit to journals and the review process," he explained .

Herdis also explained the Journal Criteria (National, Accredited National, International and Reputable International) and information related to the development of the abdimas journal in more detail .
