Public Relations UPNVJ - In order to support the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, point 3 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) point 7, BEM, Faculty of Engineering, National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta is implementing a work program entitled Engineering Caring.

The main program of Engineering Caring is carrying out community service (abdimas) by helping with street lighting using solar panels in Cijantur Village, Rabak Village, Rumpin District, Bogor Regency, West Java.

Cijantur is one of the villages that still does not have adequate street lighting facilities, which hampers residents' activities at night. This activity will be held on 28-30 September 2023.

In this activity, BEM of the UPNVJ Faculty of Engineering utilized solar panels as clean and renewable energy for street lighting which comes from sunlight as support for SDG's point 7. Two solar panels provided by BEM Faculty of Engineering were installed at several locations that needed street lights to illuminate residents' activities at night.

Apart from solar panels, BEM Faculty of Engineering also provides donations to local Islamic boarding schools in the form of fans, whiteboards and office stationery (ATK) to help with the teaching process. Apart from that, BEM Faculty of Engineering also provides various school supplies to help and support children's learning process.

BEM Faculty of Engineering hopes that this Engineering Caring activity can be useful and have a positive impact on the lives of the people of Cijantur Village.
