HumasUPNVJ - In order to improve the quality of facilities and infrastructure and support the development of entrepreneurship in the campus environment, the Chancellor of the National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ), Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, together with the university's leadership visited the Faculty of Engineering on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
This visit is part of a series of comprehensive evaluations conducted by the Chancellor to all faculties at UPNVJ. The Chancellor accompanied by the Acting Dean, Dr. Muchamad Oktaviandri and the Vice Deans directly reviewed various facilities at the Faculty of Engineering such as classrooms, lecturers' rooms, libraries, and laboratories.
"Optimal campus facilities will support the teaching and learning process and quality research. This visit is important so that we can see firsthand what needs to be improved," said Venus while reviewing one of the laboratory rooms.
This visit is also an effort to accelerate the improvement of the Faculty of Engineering's facility standards as part of the commitment towards superior higher education services.
After visiting various facilities at the Faculty of Engineering, Venus held a meeting with the Acting Dean and his staff, including the Head of Study Programs and Head of Laboratories of the Faculty of Engineering.
The meeting was held with the aim of following up on the results of field visits and discussing concrete steps to improve infrastructure.
In the active discussion, Venus listened directly to various challenges and needs conveyed by each study program, especially those related to laboratory facilities, learning spaces, and other academic support.
In addition, as a follow-up to UPNVJ's status, which now has BLU (Public Service Agency) status, Venus encourages each study program to develop entrepreneurial potential through science-based innovation.
"We have to start thinking creatively, how study programs can contribute to increasing income generation through business units, training, and other forms of collaboration," said Venus.
The Chancellor also added the importance of strengthening communication media such as websites and social media to increase the visibility and reputation of the Faculty of Engineering in the wider community.
