UPNVJ Supports Impactful Education and Technology through National Defense Day Care, Love Schools, and Mother and Baby Classes

UPNVJ Public Relations - Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) has strengthened its commitment to the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Diktisaintek) Impact program by launching the National Defense Day Care. This program is part of the UPN Community Territory (UCT) initiative, which demonstrates UPNVJ's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for the surrounding community, particularly in the Limo area of Depok.

Bela Negara Day Care, which officially opened at the UPNVJ Limo Campus, Depok, in early September 2025, offers care and education services for children from early childhood to preschool.

"UCT was established as a form of UPNVJ's concern for the surrounding community. The Bela Negara Day Care focuses on supporting parents and children with educational services, nutrition, and developmental stimulation," said Prof. Dr. Ir. Netti Herawati, UPNVJ's Vice Rector for Planning, Finance, and General Affairs, when met on Friday (August 29, 2025).

In addition to daycare, UCT also includes ongoing programs such as the Love School and Mother and Baby Class, which have been running since 2024 in the Limo District of Depok. These programs are designed to support children's growth and development from conception through early childhood, in line with the spirit of national defense to produce a healthy, strong, and superior generation.

The Kasih School targets pregnant women, focusing on the first 1,000 days of a child's life. The program involves four study programs at UPNVJ: Nutrition, Nursing, and Physiotherapy.

In 2025, UPNVJ expanded UCT by launching a Mother-Baby Class for babies aged 6–8 months. "This class provides education to parents about stimulating infant development. We provide stimulation tools, teach application techniques, and ask parents to submit evaluation videos to ensure the knowledge is consistently applied," explained Prof. Netty.

Impact and Future Hopes
Through UCT, UPNVJ not only provides concrete action but also produces innovations such as a Fetal Stimulation book for pregnant women. This program is expected to expand to other regions, supporting the creation of a healthy, strong, and competitive generation. "We want the UCT program to become a model of impactful community service, while also strengthening UPNVJ's role as a National Defense Campus," said Prof. Netty.

By integrating education, health, and care, UPNVJ continues to demonstrate its dedication to supporting community welfare and national development.
