This appointment officially marked the start of new leadership within the FIKES UPNVJ environment after going through a series of internal selection processes.
Dr. Sri Yani was selected after completing several assessment stages, including filing, presentation of her vision and mission, and interviews. This process is part of the faculty leadership selection process, which emphasizes leadership capacity, institutional development initiatives, and commitment to the faculty's advancement. Previously, during the presentation of the vision and mission of the FIKES Dean candidates, UPNVJ noted that two internal candidates participated in the process: Dr. Sri Yani and Dr. Apriningsih.
Within the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) at UPNVJ, Dr. Sri Yani is known as a permanent lecturer in Physiotherapy. Her academic track record and structural experience are considered crucial assets for further strengthening faculty governance, improving the quality of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, and developing the FIKES institutional network both internally and externally.
In his remarks, the UPNVJ Chancellor expressed his hope that the new leadership would be able to bring FIKES UPNVJ to greater heights and achieve greater achievements. Prof. Anter Venus emphasized the importance of internal solidarity, strengthening external collaboration, and achieving achievements that impact the faculty and the university as a whole. This inauguration also serves as a momentum to ensure program sustainability, maintain organizational stability, and strengthen FIKES's contribution to supporting institutional performance. The UPNVJ Chancellor himself is officially listed in the university's leadership structure on the UPNVJ website.
From a university policy perspective, the inauguration of the Dean of FIKES is not only related to a change in position, but also part of UPNVJ's efforts to maintain continuity of academic and managerial leadership at the faculty level. By selecting an internal figure who understands the organizational culture, the needs of the academic community, and the challenges of developing higher health education, UPNVJ affirms its commitment to continuously strengthening the quality of educational services, research, community service, and institutional reputation in a sustainable manner.
