UPNVJ Public Relations – Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) has once again strengthened its efforts to expand educational access for high-achieving students. Through an audience with the Djarum Foundation (May 5, 2026), UPNVJ opened up strategic collaboration opportunities under the Djarum Beasiswa Plus (Djarum Bakti Pendidikan) program, which targets both academic and soft skills development for students.
The audience was led by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Cooperation, and Information Systems of UPNVJ, Dr. dr. Ria Maria Theresa, Sp.KJ., MH. She emphasized the importance of this collaboration as a real solution for high-achieving students facing financial constraints.
"Through this program, we hope that more UPNVJ students will not only excel academically but also receive support to continue their education without financial barriers," he said.
From the Djarum Foundation, the team present explained that the Djarum Bakti Pendidikan program is an independent initiative focused on educational, socio-cultural, and environmental development. One representative, Abraham, emphasized that the program is comprehensively designed, encompassing various levels of education.
At the tertiary level, the Djarum Beasiswa Plus program not only provides financial assistance of Rp1,000,000 per month but also offers various self-development programs. Scholarship recipients will receive project - based learning training, a six-month community empowerment program, and the opportunity to participate in essay contests to express authentic ideas and solutions to real-life problems through argumentative and impactful writing. International exposure, which encourages student achievement through international competitions and forums such as Model United Nations (MUN), is also provided.
"Students also have the opportunity to build a national network because this program has reached 132 universities from 38 provinces in Indonesia," explained Abraham.
The audience also revealed that registration for the 2026 Djarum Beasiswa Plus program has been open since April 8 and will run until June 10, 2026. UPNVJ is working to ensure its participation in this year's selection process. Interested students can register through the official Djarum Beasiswa Plus website and follow the specified selection process.
This scholarship is intended for students who will enter semesters 5 and 6, so the minimum requirement for applicants is to be in semester 4. The quota for scholarship recipients is flexible and will be adjusted to the number and quality of applicants in each region.
This collaboration is a strategic step for UPNVJ to strengthen an inclusive and competitive education ecosystem. With the support of external partners like the Djarum Foundation, it is hoped that students will not only receive financial assistance but also develop into a superior generation ready to contribute at the national and global levels.
