UPNVJ Public Relations - The Mosque Prosperity Council (DKM) of the Manbaul Ulum Mosque of the Veteran National Development University (UPNVJ) held a slaughter and distribution of sacrificial animals on the occasion of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah. This activity was a manifestation of the academic community's gratitude and strengthened the campus's social concern for workers within the UPNVJ environment and the surrounding community. Through the implementation of the sacrifice, the UPNVJ Manbaul Ulum Mosque Council emphasized that Eid al-Adha is not only interpreted as an annual worship, but also as a space to expand benefits and strengthen social solidarity.
The management of the UPNVJ Manbaul Ulum Student Council (DKM) interprets this year's sacrifice as an implementation of the spiritual values contained in Surah Al-Kautsar, verses 1–3. Sacrifice is understood as an expression of gratitude for Allah SWT's blessings, manifested through obedience to worship, sincere sharing, and concern for others.
In addition to providing a means for those offering qurbani to draw closer to Allah SWT, this activity also aims to provide broader benefits. Within the campus, the committee distributes the qurbani meat to carefully selected recipients, including class 1 and 2 employees, janitors, security guards, parking attendants, and cafeteria and cooperative workers.
The distribution to these groups is part of the UPNVJ Manbaul Ulum Student Council's (DKM Manbaul Ulum) efforts to strengthen a sense of community on campus. They are a vital part of the UPNVJ service ecosystem, contributing daily to maintaining the comfort, security, and continuity of academic and non-academic activities.
Beyond targeting the internal community, the UPNVJ Manbaul Ulum Student Council (DKM Manbaul Ulum) also distributed sacrificial meat to residents surrounding the campus. External distribution was conducted to communities in the Limo and Pangkalan Jati areas of Pondok Labu, as a form of the National Defense Campus' social concern for its immediate environment.
To ensure orderly and targeted distribution, the UPNVJ Manbaul Ulum Community Empowerment Council (DKM Manbaul Ulum) implemented a coupon system involving community leaders and local neighborhood association (RT/RW) officials. This system allows for more efficient quota management, avoids long queues, and ensures that the sacrificial meat reaches those who truly need it.
The momentum of Eid al-Adha 1447 H also serves as a reminder of the importance of sincerity and sacrifice in campus life. For the UPNVJ Manbaul Ulum Student Council (DKM Manbaul Ulum), sacrifice is not just about slaughtering animals, but also about a willingness to share, care for others, and build warmer social relationships between the campus and the community.
Seeing the enthusiasm of the academic community and the smooth implementation of this year's event, the UPNVJ Manbaul Ulum Student Council (DKM) plans to develop an innovative "Qurban Savings" program. This program is designed to make it easier for the academic community to plan their Qurban worship well in advance, thereby increasing participation in future years.
Through religious activities that are managed in an orderly and inclusive manner, UPNVJ strengthens its role as a university that is not only oriented towards education, but also towards service and social concern.
