Ferdiansyah Encourages the Young Generation to Practice the Four Pillars of the MPR RI Amidst the Challenges of the Times

UPNVJ Public Relations - Ferdiansyah, SE, MM, a member of the People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR RI) from the Golkar Party faction, urged the younger generation to strengthen their commitment to nationalism by understanding and practicing the values of the MPR RI's Four Pillars. The invitation was delivered during the MPR RI's Four Pillars Socialization at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium, Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ), Tuesday (July 14, 2026).

The event, a collaboration between the MPR RI, UPNVJ, and Resonansi, was attended by approximately 250 participants, consisting of academics and student representatives. The outreach provided a platform to strengthen the younger generation's understanding of unity, diversity, and the responsibilities of citizens in maintaining national integrity.

In his presentation, Ferdiansyah explained the four foundations of national and state life: Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity). He argued that these four elements should guide society's thinking, attitudes, and actions.

"The Four Pillars of the MPR RI are not just material to be understood, but must also serve as a guide for thinking, behaving, and acting. The younger generation has a strategic role in maintaining national unity and ensuring the values of Pancasila remain alive amidst the various challenges of the times," said Ferdiansyah.

He believes that technological developments, the rapid flow of information, and social change present new challenges to national life. Therefore, students need to have a strong understanding of the values of Pancasila to be able to address differences maturely and resist the influence of information that could divide unity.

Ferdiansyah also emphasized the strategic role of higher education in building national character. He argued that campuses are not only places for developing knowledge but also spaces for dialogue that foster national awareness and respect for diversity.

Through this outreach, students are expected to go beyond memorizing the elements of the Four Pillars of the MPR RI, but also to be able to apply them in campus and community life. This understanding is crucial for the younger generation in navigating the dynamics of social, political, and national life.

This event aligns with UPNVJ's commitment as a National Defense Campus to producing graduates who excel academically and possess national character. Strengthening the values of Pancasila, unity, and diversity is a crucial part of preparing a young generation capable of making a real contribution to the nation and state.
