UPNVJ Public Relations — The Jakarta “Veteran” Pencak Silat Student Activity Unit (PSVJ) of the Jakarta “Veteran” National Development University (UPNVJ) won the First Overall Champion in the adult category in the 2026 Indonesia Pencak Silat Banten Championship which took place on August 28–30, 2026 at the Ciceri Youth Sports Center, Serang, Banten. The UPNVJ contingent closed the competition with 25 medals consisting of 18 gold and seven silver medals from both the competition and arts categories.
This achievement also fulfills PSVJ's pre-departure target. Upon their departure from UPNVJ on Thursday (August 27, 2026), the contingent, consisting of 18 athletes and two coaches, was aiming for the Overall Champion I title in the adult/student category by competing in several competitions and artistic events.
Their success in winning the overall championship demonstrates the consistency of PSVJ athletes in turning a series of preparations and training into achievements. Students from various faculties competed in the men's and women's competitions, as well as in the singles, doubles, team, and creative solo arts events.
Seventeen students from various study programs within UPNVJ earned medals in the PSVJ championship.

2. Muhammad Riyadi Putra (Political Science, NIM 2410413026) won silver in the Adult Men's Class C Competition and gold in the Adult Men's Team Arts and Adult Men's Double Arts.
3. Dinara Safina (S-1 Information Science, NIM 2410414066) won gold in the Class A Adult Women's Competition and Adult Women's Team Arts.
4. Nabilla Arinda Pasha (S-1 Development Economics, NIM 2310115055) won gold in the Under 45 Class Women's Adult Competition and Women's Adult Team Arts.
5. Keisya Kinanti (S-1 Physiotherapy, NIM 2510715002) contributed gold from the Adult Women's Singles and Adult Women's Creative Solo categories.
6. Muhammad Alger Belgam Esfandiari (S-1 Mechanical Engineering, NIM 2310311007) won gold in the Adult Men's Class F Competition and Adult Men's Team Arts.
7. Raisha Nur Zahra (S-1 Development Economics, NIM 2310115112) won gold in the Class B Adult Women's Competition and Adult Women's Doubles Arts.
8. Siti Nur Alliah (S-1 Management, NIM 2410111058) won gold in the Women's Adult Single Arts and Women's Adult Team Arts.
9. Dinda Azka Aulia (S-1 Law, NIM 2410611083) won gold from the Female Adult Creative Solo Arts and Female Adult Double Arts.
10. Jauza Prayata Arivianto (S-1 Mechanical Engineering, NIM 2310311090) won gold in the Men's Adult Team Arts and Men's Adult Single Arts.
11. Ananda Daffa Putra Ramadhan (S-1 Management, NIM 2410111033) won silver in the Adult Men's Single Bare Handed Art and gold in the Adult Men's Double Art.
12. Khadikunnuha (S-1 Development Economics, NIM 2510115092) won silver in the Adult Men's Class D Competition and gold in the Adult Men's Team Arts.
13. Adzka Bardan Aflail (S-1 Development Economics, NIM 2510115077) won silver in the Adult Men's Class B Competition and gold in the Adult Men's Team Arts.
14. Laila Fitriana (S-1 Accounting, NIM 2410112047) won silver in the Under 45 Class Women's Adult Competition and gold in the Women's Adult Doubles Arts.
15. Zaskya Aulia (D-3 Accounting, NIM 2510102026) won silver in the Class C Adult Women's Competition.
16. Ferrando Widiaputra (S-1 Informatics, NIM 2410511147) won gold in the Adult Men's Class A Competition and Adult Men's Doubles Arts.
17. Nurlaielly Fatimah Azzahra (S-1 Information Science, NIM 2510414100) won silver in the Class A Women's Adult Match and gold in the Women's Adult Doubles Arts.
This achievement was a significant milestone for PSVJ, as the contingent not only brought home dozens of medals but also secured the top spot in the adult category. This achievement also demonstrated UPNVJ's strength in two key pencak silat characteristics: competitive ability and mastery of the arts.
Prior to the competition, the athletes underwent additional training throughout August 2026 to refine their technique, physical condition, teamwork, and competition readiness. The contingent was accompanied by sparring coach Rian Ariya Setya and arts coach Riko Sanjaya.
During the contingent's send-off, UPNVJ's Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Cooperation, and Information Systems, Dr. dr. Ria Maria Theresa, Sp.KJ., MH, also expressed her hope that the athletes would deliver their best while upholding the alma mater's reputation. The overall first-place finish three days later met those expectations.
PSVJ's achievements add to UPNVJ students' positive record in non-academic fields and demonstrate that student activities can foster discipline, sportsmanship, courage, teamwork, and fighting spirit. These values also align with the National Defense character that is UPNVJ's identity.
Under the leadership of UPNVJ Rector Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm, the university continues to encourage the creation of spaces for students to develop and demonstrate achievement, both through academic and non-academic activities. The title of Overall Champion I of the 2026 Banten Championship is one proof that student development through UKM can produce achievements and elevate UPNVJ's reputation to a broader level of competition.
