UPNVJ Public Relations – Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) is strengthening its research, community service, innovation, and entrepreneurship ecosystem through the 2026 UPNVJ Research, Community Service, and Entrepreneurship Exhibition, which will take place over five days, from August 31 to September 4, 2026, at Plaza Soemari, UPNVJ Pondok Labu Campus, Jakarta. The exhibition will showcase various works, achievements, and mentoring services to open up opportunities for collaboration and encourage research results from the academic community to have a broader impact on society.

The series of activities began with a Seminar on Strengthening the Research-Based Entrepreneurship Ecosystem and Community Service at the Impact Campus, Monday (31/8/2026), at 09.00–11.00 WIB at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium UPNVJ.

The seminar featured Ir. Bastian, MBA, Assistant Deputy for Entrepreneurial Financing Expansion at the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), as a resource person. The event opened with remarks from Dr. Sri Lestari Wahyuningroem, Head of the UPNVJ Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), and Dr. Henry Binsar Hamonangan Sitorus, ST, MT, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs.

The discussion was moderated by the Coordinator of the UPNVJ Master of Management Study Program, Dr. Ranila Suciati, SE, MM, CFP.

Through the seminar, UPNVJ encouraged research and community service activities to go beyond academic output. Knowledge, research findings, innovations, and empowerment programs have the potential to be developed into products, services, business models, and solutions that provide social and economic benefits.

This enthusiasm was then expanded through an exhibition that ran until Friday, September 4, 2026. For five days, Plaza Soemari served as a meeting space for the academic community to learn more about UPNVJ's research ecosystem, community service, innovation, publications, entrepreneurship, and various student initiatives.

Various works and achievements are displayed through faculty research groups, research centers and study centers, research and community service programs, innovation and entrepreneurship, publications and academic reputation, and various initiatives developed by students.

The exhibition isn't just a showcase for the academic community's work. LPPM UPNVJ also offers mentoring and consulting services that visitors can utilize to develop their ideas and work for broader use.

These services include the Halal Center for consultation and assistance related to the halal ecosystem; the Intellectual Property Center (Sentra KI) for consultation on intellectual property protection, works, and innovations; the Research Ethics Committee (KEP) for information and assistance related to research ethics; and the LPPM Press, which provides consultation on publication and book publishing.

The presence of various services in one space is expected to make it easier for lecturers, students, researchers, and academics to bring an idea through a more comprehensive stage, starting from research and innovation development, intellectual property protection, fulfillment of ethical aspects, publication, to opportunities for downstreaming and entrepreneurship development.

Exhibitions also provide opportunities for researchers from various disciplines to meet with students and other university units. This interaction is crucial for fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration and bringing together those with complementary ideas, research findings, development needs, and expertise.

This exhibition and seminar align with UPNVJ's development direction, which prioritizes research and community service as key drivers of university transformation. Strengthening publications, establishing research centers of excellence, downstreaming research results, and collaborating with government, industry, communities, and universities are crucial to ensuring that the knowledge produced by the university delivers tangible benefits.

Through this agenda, UPNVJ continues to build an ecosystem that connects research, community service, innovation, publication, and entrepreneurship in a single chain of impact creation. This approach is part of UPNVJ's commitment as a National Defense Campus to produce knowledge and innovation that is not only academically superior but also relevant to the needs of society and national development.
