UPNVJ Holds Utsawa Dharma Gita Exam Again in SEMA Achievement Path 2025

HumasUPNVJ — Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) has once again demonstrated its commitment to recruiting outstanding prospective students by holding the Utsawa Dharma Gita Skills Test on Friday, June 27, 2025. This test is part of the UPNVJ Independent Selection (SEMA) process for the 2025 Achievement Pathway.

In this implementation, two participants took a skills test in the field of Utsawa Dharma Gita, an art form of reading and chanting Hindu religious verses that have high religious, aesthetic, and cultural values.

This activity was carried out as a form of UPNVJ's appreciation for the diversity of potential possessed by prospective students, especially in the fields of religious arts and culture.

The Utsawa Dharma Gita Skills Test is an additional selection tool for prospective students who have special abilities in reciting Hindu religious verses aesthetically and meaningfully. Not just an assessment event, this activity is also a real effort to preserve Indonesia's cultural and spiritual heritage in the context of higher education.

This activity is intended to assess the potential and abilities of participants beyond academic aspects alone. Through this path, participants have the opportunity to gain added value in the UPNVJ SEMA selection process, making it one of the entry paths that is highly sought after by outstanding students in non-academic fields.

Fajar Nugroho, UPNVJ New Student Admissions Coordinator, said that implementing skills tests like this is part of the campus' strategy to recruit students who excel religiously.

"We want to provide the widest possible opportunity for prospective students who have skills and achievements in the field of arts and culture, such as Dharma Gita. This skills test is not just a formality selection, but becomes a real added value that will be considered in the UPNVJ SEMA selection process," said Fajar.

The implementation of the Utsawa Dharma Gita Skills Test not only enriches the selection process, but also strengthens UPNVJ's identity as a campus that is open to talents from various backgrounds. Students are not only assessed on academic scores, but also their ability to bring cultural values and character into the campus environment.
