UPNVJ Public Relations – Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) successfully held the 2025 UKM Expo. On Sunday (September 7, 2025), the event, held on the UPNVJ campus, was a lively affair, showcasing the creativity, innovation, and achievements of dozens of Student Activity Units (UKM), ranging from arts and spirituality to sports and academics.
The Chief Executive of UKM Expo 2025, Valentinus Morena, explained that the event aims not only to introduce UKMs but also to foster a spirit of togetherness and organizational spirit. "UKM Expo provides a space for new students to explore their talents, channel their interests, and build relationships through organizational activities. We hope they find the right platform to grow," he said.
The 2025 UKM Expo series of activities included art performances, sports simulations, and presentations of work programs from each UKM. Each UKM booth was crowded with new students eager to learn about joining opportunities. According to the committee, the high level of direct registration interest from various UKMs after the expo demonstrated the event's success as a bridge to campus organizational life.
Valentinus emphasized that student activity units (UKM) play a crucial role in developing students' soft skills, such as leadership, teamwork, and social responsibility. "UKM is not just a place to pursue hobbies, but also a platform for practicing skills that support success in the workplace and in society," he added.
The enthusiasm of the new students was evident, including Dhito, a student from the Faculty of Economics and Business, and Christian, a student from the Faculty of Engineering. "This event was fun and insightful. I learned that college isn't just about studying in the classroom, but also about organizational experience. I'm interested in joining a student activity unit (UKM) to make friends and gain experience," said Dhito. Christian added, "Many of the UKMs align with my interests. This expo makes me even more enthusiastic about being active on campus."
With the 2025 UKM Expo, UPNVJ hopes that new students will be more motivated to actively participate in organizations, thus producing graduates who excel not only academically but also possess character, competitiveness, and a spirit of national defense. The 2025 UPNVJ UKM Expo was officially opened by university leadership and attended by thousands of new students from various faculties.
